Homeless No More: Sophia Douglas

Location: Gloucester, MA.
What led to homelessness: abusive relationship.
Length of homelessness: one year.
Housing First agency:
Housing First program for families through the Gloucester Housing Authority.
Our favorite quote: “I was in an abusive relationship for seven years – mentally, emotionally, verbally abusive – which made it even harder.”

Homeless No More is a series featuring voices of formerly homeless folks who gained a second chance through Housing First.

The Housing First solution to homelessness makes success stories like Sophia’s commonplace, and through our film we want to bring these stories to the mainstream public.
